RamLog NEWS - February 2008
R&M Technologies is pleased to announce that RamLog 6.1 Simulation Edition
and Information Management Edition will be released during February 2008.
The major changes in this version of RamLog are:
Editions: Development of a Simulation, Information Management
and Failure Data Editions. These editions can be used as stand alone applications
or as a powerful integrated suite. The Failure Data Edition will be released
mid 2008.
Licensing and pricing: Changing of the licensing model and price structures
into a bundled license on the server with a limited number of concurrent users.
Simulation Edition
It provides the user with the ability to simulate different systems and system types
in an operational & support scenario. With reference to the RamLog 6.0 SSM application,
the Simulation Edition now has its own database interface. Some of the other changes
are:
Input grids and system selection rules: An improved Planner, with additional
input grids and system selection rules were developed. These grids make it easier
for the user to enter and manipulate large datasets.
Deploy and Support model: The Deploy & Support Model was simplified, by
using automatic decisions. A decision block is no longer required to point the Job
Card to the correct facility block.
Animation Model: An histogram object was develop to provide a histogram,
probability density function, relative cumulative frequency diagram and the frequency
distribution data table.
Facility Block: The facility block can now simulate personnel shifts and
facility unavailable periods, to provide for a more realistic simulation.
Information Management Edition
It provides the user with the ability to perform a Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
and to develop Technical Documentation and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual
directly from the LSA database. Some of the changes are:
Grids windows: Additional grid input windows were developed for the Information
Management Edition. The importing and exporting of “csv” files were also included.
Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) and Technical Manuals: The IPB Editor
was improved and it is now easier to create IPBs and Technical Manuals directly
from the Logistic Support Database.
Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs): The user interface to
add/manipulate “Hot Spots” onto figures and photos were improved. This makes it
easier to develop IETMs in “html” and in the Windows Help format.
